Pre-Placement Talk by ICICI Bank Limited (For Final Year Students)

Objective of the Workshop - The primary objective of the workshop was to provide students with hands-on learning and conceptual clarity of Microsoft Excel. The session aimed to familiarize students with essential Excel’s tools, function and formulas that are useful in data handling, computation and analysis.

A Pre-Placement Talk was organized at IIHS Campus, Ghaziabad, for students to understand career opportunities in the banking sector. The session was conducted by representatives from ICICI Bank, one of India’s leading private sector banks. The objective of the workshop was to guide students about banking careers and future growth opportunities in the financial industry.

The speakers began the session by introducing ICICI Bank and highlighting its important role in India’s banking sector. They discussed the bank’s professional working culture, which focuses on teamwork, customer satisfaction, and continuous learning. Students were informed about how the organization supports employee development and provides opportunities for career growth.

During the session, the representatives explained various job roles available in the bank, particularly the position of Relationship Manager. They described the responsibilities associated with this role, such as interacting with customers, understanding their financial needs, and offering suitable banking products and services.

The speakers also shared details about a two-month paid internship opportunity offered by ICICI Bank. Selected students will receive a monthly stipend of approximately ₹18,000, which will provide them with practical exposure to banking operations and professional work environments.

After the successful completion of the internship, students may receive permanent placement opportunities with an annual package of around ₹5 lakhs. It was also explained that these positions may involve transferable roles across different locations in India, offering wider exposure and career development opportunities.

The representatives further informed students that ICICI Bank will conduct a selection examination for interested candidates. Students who qualify in this exam will proceed to the next stages of the recruitment and internship process. The session was interactive, and students actively asked questions regarding job roles, career growth, and the selection process. Overall, the Pre-Placement Talk was informative and beneficial for students as it provided valuable insights into careers in the banking sector and motivated them to prepare for upcoming placement opportunities.
