Objective of the Workshop - The primary objective of the workshop was to provide students with hands-on learning and conceptual clarity of Microsoft Excel. The session aimed to familiarize students with essential Excel’s tools, function and formulas that are useful in data handling, computation and analysis.

Summary of the Session - The workshop was successfully conducted by Dr. Sunil Verma. The session began with an introduction to the Excel interface, including the toolbar, menu options and spreadsheet navigation. Students were guided step-by-step to create a sample Excel file that included basic arithmetic operations such as addition, subtraction, multiplication and division.
Further, the session covered decision-making statements and the use of aggregate functions like SUM, AVERAGE, MAX, and MIN. Students practiced applying these functions to sample datasets which enhanced their confidence and familiarity with basics of Excel. It was also announced that second part of the workshop will be conducted later to cover advanced topics and data analysis tools.
